A single-vehicle crash in Sullivan County Wednesday evening left the driver with serious injuries. State Troopers report the crash occurred at bout 8:34 pm on Route K, 7 miles east of Harris, as a 21-year-old Mercer man was southbound and ran off the left side of the road. His pick-up overturned, coming to rest on its wheels. The driver had serious injuries and was flown to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines for treatment. He was not wearing a safety belt.
State Troopers in Sullivan County arrested a 21-year-old Mercer man, Jayden R. Stark, Wednesday at about 9:12 pm for alleged DWI and careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash. He was released at the scene to seek medical treatment.
