The Jury trial has been set for April 20th to the 23rd for the Iowa man facing alleged 2nd Degree Murder Charges. Charges against 36-year-old Shane M. Stephenson of Osceola, IA were originally filed in Sullivan County, but the case was moved to Linn County on a change of venue.
Stephenson faces charges in the death of a child who was two years old when the child was in his care in October of 2017.
In 2024, the child died, and the autopsy indicated the cause of death was due to a seizure resulting from non-accidental head injury, the direct result of the injuries in 2017.
