A three-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in Chariton County left two drivers with serious injuries. State Troopers report the crash occurred at about 5:17 pm on US 24, east of Salisbury. The crash occurred as an eastbound vehicle driven by an 18-year-old Salisbury woman struck the rear of another eastbound vehicle, driven by a 65-year-old woman from Salisbury, then went into the path of a westbound vehicle driven by a 55-year-old Moberly woman, resulting in a head-on collision.
The 18-year-old and the Moberly woman were transported to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious injuries. The other driver was not injured.
