Chillicothe’s 40th annual Chautauqua in the Park will be September 6th and 7th at Simpson Park. The event is presented in partnership between the Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce and Cultural Corner Art Guild & Gallery.
Chamber Director Crystal Narr says that this year, they have invited local and regional artists to participate in a brand-new En Plein Air experience, giving the artists the opportunity to create live art in the midst of the event.
Through a grant with the Missouri Humanities Council.
Artists are invited to paint scenes that reflect the vibrant atmosphere, people, and features that make Chautauqua such a special tradition in Chillicothe.
Registered participants will be provided with an 18×24 canvas, which they may be picked up at the Cultural Corner Art Guild & Gallery from August 25–September 5.
