Avian Influenza Response Plan

The Livingston County Health Department is required by the state of Missouri to have a plan in place, should there be an outbreak of Avian Influenza in our area.  Administrator Katie Stephens spoke with the Board of Trustees about the plan.

Must have a plan in place. 

Stephens explained what prompts a response.

Triggers include exposure, fever, and respiratory distress.

Stephens stated there are NO active local issues at this time, but they are prepared to respond if the need arises.
