Brummitt Case Assigned To Judge Horsman; Brummitt Requests New Judge

When the case against former Sullivan County Public Administrator, 65-year-old Joan Brummitt, of Milan, was bound over to Sullivan County Circuit Court on January 15th, the case was sent to the Missouri Supreme Court to be assigned to a judge outside the 9th Circuit.  Brummitt is facing four counts each of alleged financial exploitation of the elderly or disabled and Stealing – $750 or more.  The case was bound over to Circuit Court.

The Supreme Court assigned Judge Ryan Horsman to preside over the case.

Her attorneys have already made a motion for a new judge in the case.
