Cameron Woman Charged With Alleged Animal Abandonment

A Cameron woman was charged Monday with alleged Animal Cruelty or abandonment.  The charges were the result of an investigation on July 6th, where a dog and cat were found abandoned in a home that was closed up.  The animals were found with some water, but no food.  The windows were closed, and there was no electricity in the home.  Temperatures the previous days were near 100 degrees.

Seventy-four-year-old Lisa G. Walter was charged with two counts of alleged Animal Cruelty or abandonment.  She was released with a summons to appear in court.  A hearing is scheduled for today.
