Chariton County Deputies Arrest Driver That Fled

At about midnight Thursday morning, a Chariton County Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle traveling approximately 120 MPH in a 60 MPH speed zone. The vehicle fled from the Deputy and continued East towards Salisbury. The vehicle eventually came to a stop in the 300 Block of East 6th Street in Salisbury, and the driver ran on foot.  Salisbury Police Department and Deputies quickly began searching the area for the individual, including the use of a thermal drone, and were able to locate the individual lying down in grass in a backyard of a home. The individual was taken into custody and transported to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department.
