Chariton County Man Charged For Resisting

A Brunswick man was arrested for alleged Resisting Arrest or Detention.  Fifty-nine-year-old James Henry Watts III was charged this week for an incident on December 6th.  The probable cause statement indicates Watts had been stopped as Brunswick police were investigating an apartment fire.  When told he was being detained during the investigation, he fled.  He was later arrested by State Troopers and returned to the Brunswick Police.

Watts was charged with alleged Resisting Arrest or detention by fleeing.  He was later released with a summons to appear in Chariton County Court.
