Because of a tie in the April municipal election, a special election to decide the third ward Chillicothe City Council seat will be held next Tuesday.
Absentee voting continues at the Livingston County Clerk’s office for the election through Monday during regular office hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. On Monday, the office hours will be extended to 5:00 pm.
In addition, there are special hours for absentee voting available this Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.

On Tuesday, the voting will take place at Calvary Baptist Church. Doors open at 6:00 am, and the polls close at 7:00 pm.
The only item on the ballot is the 3rd Ward Council Seat with a 2-year term. The candidates include Stacey Soper and Manuel Morales.
