The Chillicothe Education Foundation’s annual fundraiser continues to raise funds to help the schools and to recognize the nominees and winners for the Teacher of the Year and Beacon Awards. Foundation president Ed Douglas claims the event has taken place for 30 years.
Raising funds that support the Teacher of the Year, Beacon, and mini-grants.
Douglas contends the foundation supports the teachers and the district in ways the school district is unable.
By providing bonuses, purchasing land, and building the stadium. Raising about $20K per year.
The fundraiser is just a part of the way the community supports the foundation. They also received funding from other foundations.
