Chillicothe Fire Department Aerial Truck Rebuild Nearing Completion

The Chillicothe Fire Department’s large aerial truck, the 2004 Sutphen Tower Truck, is nearing completion.  Brindlee Mountain Fire Apparatus provided an update on the truck that left Chillicothe just over a year ago for a complete rebuild.  They indicated the striping and lettering are underway and are on track to be completed next week.

Chillicothe Fire Chief Eric Reeter says the truck should come back in like new condition.

Basically come back like a brand new truck.

The Chillicothe Fire Tax is paying for the work that totals $720,000.

The department will travel to Alabama to check the work before the truck is shipped back.  Reeter anticipates the truck’s return near the end of August or earlier.
