Chillicothe Fire Department Issues 48-Hour Burn Ban

A 48-hour Burn Ban is issued for the City of Chillicothe and Chillicothe Rural Fire District #1.  That ban will continue through 4:00 pm on March 2nd.

The Burn Ban is due to the very dry and windy conditions in the area.

Friday morning, The National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning that expires at 10:00 pm today.

The Livingston County Emergency Management issues a Burn Advisory for all of Livingston County on Friday morning.

Friday afternoon, multiple agencies were called to assist the Chula Fire Department, including Chillicothe and Grundy County with a large grass fire.  That may have started as a structure fire from Thursday that reignited and spread.
