The Chillicothe Police Department is the recipient of a prestigious Missouri Blue Shield award of $50,000. Captain Hays says the Blue Shield Program is part of Governor Mike Kehoe’s Safer Missouri initiative.
The $50,000 in funding will be used to upgrade outdated patrol vehicle laptops as the department transitions to a new records management system. This technology enhancement will:
- Improve officer efficiency in the field
- Keep officers on patrol longer
- Enhance response times to community calls
- Strengthen our ability to keep Chillicothe streets safe.
