City Council Approves Ordinance And Amendment

The State of Missouri had recommended several ordinances and amendments.  The Chillciohe City Council took action on two of those items.

Chillicothe’s Police Chief Jon Maples and Fire Chief Eric Reeter presented an ordinance on Interference with first responders.  Chief Maples spoke to the council.

The goal is to keep first responders safe.

He says the goal is to reduce interference with the first responders and reduce the danger or threat while they are handling their responsibilities on the site of the incident.

 

The Council also heard about an amendment to the city’s fireworks ordinance.  City Administrator Roze Frampton explains that this is clarifying language.

Changing some of the definitions.

Both ordinances were approved.
