The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 96 calls for service Wednesday, with several investigations remaining active.
The day’s most significant incident came just after 1:00 am, when officers conducted a traffic stop at Ryan Lane and South Washington Street. A 46-year-old man was arrested on a Linn County domestic assault warrant and additional allegations of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.
During the day, officers also took reports of a runaway juvenile and alleged sexual misconduct involving juveniles, with both investigations continuing.
Other calls included an abandoned bicycle, animal complaints, disturbances, suspicious vehicle reports, a non-injury two-vehicle crash on Graves Street, and several family-related incidents that officers were able to resolve.
