While much of the western half of the US and East Coast states are showing the effects of abnormally dry to exceptional drought conditions, Missouri is showing no drought for nearly 84% of the state.
Southeast Missouri is showing small areas of Severe Drought in and near the Bootheel and Abnormally Dry to Moderate Drought in the counties near the Bootheel. Central Missouri is showing no drought for areas generally south of the Missouri River.
In Northern Missouri, there are 14 counties showing Abnormally Dry conditions. In the local area, that includes Carroll, Chariton, Linn, and portions of Sullivan County.
