The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 234 calls for service over the weekend, along with conducting traffic stops and business checks.
On Friday, officers responded to:
- a false fire alarm, stranded motorist, and two non-injury traffic crashes
- assisted the Chillicothe Fire Department with a vehicle fire on Washington Street
- a female driver arrested for DWI following a traffic stop in the 200 block of Washington Street; she was later released with a citation
Saturday police investigated:
- a property damage report in the 1100 block of Polk Street; the investigation remains ongoing
- a false commercial alarm and assisted with a medical emergency
On Sunday Chillicothe PD worked:
- a traffic stop on 2nd Street when a male who was not involved in the stop approached officers, interfered, and resisted arrest; he was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center
- a hit-and-run accident in the 1000 block of South Washington Street
- a reported missing juvenile on Calhoun Street was later found asleep inside the residence
- a burglary alarm at a business on Industrial Drive with no signs of forced entry
