Chillicothe Police Report For Labor Day

Fifty-nine calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Monday.

Officers responded to two commercial alarms, both determined to be false. A report of child abuse and neglect was taken, and that investigation is ongoing. Police also responded to a woman lying in the street on Clay Street, who eventually moved on her own.

In the afternoon, following a traffic stop, officers arrested a 33-year-old Illinois man on an outstanding warrant for identity theft. He was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center to await extradition. Later in the evening, officers checked on malfunctioning traffic lights at Washington Street and Ryan Lane, and MoDOT was notified.
