Early in the day, officers conducted routine business and traffic checks, issuing verbal warnings for tag light violations.

At 6:40 AM, police responded to Simpson Park where a man was found passed out near a motorcycle—he declined a search and said he was traveling to Texas.

At the station, a woman turned herself in on a warrant for expired plates and posted bond.

Around 11:30 AM, officers helped safely return a missing elderly man with dementia to Hedrick Medical Center.

A theft report in the 200 block of Cowgill Street involved two stolen motorcycles. That case remains under investigation.

Police were called to the 1700 block of Hickory Drive on a child abuse report involving a 5-year-old girl with facial injuries. The case was reclassified as a domestic violence incident.

At 9 PM, officers responded to an assault where a man reportedly struck a woman and took her vehicle. A search was launched, and the car was later recovered.

Finally, around 11 PM, a noise complaint involving late-night construction was resolved when police contacted roofers on-site.
