Ninety-four calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Monday.
Officers responded to a variety of incidents, including a loud noise complaint, a well-being check, and a mental health hold in which an individual was transported to a hospital for evaluation. Animal Control is also following up on a case involving too many cats at a residence.
Police also responded to a disturbance involving juveniles shooting a BB gun toward a neighbor’s swimming pool, which was resolved without further incident. Officers investigated an unruly juvenile, searched unsuccessfully for a reckless dirt bike rider, and continue investigating a report of a careless driver who nearly struck a child on Calhoun Street. The department also assisted residents with questions about harassment, protection orders, and parking.
