Sixty-six calls for service on Thursday were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department. Some of the calls include:
Officers responded to a fraud report on Washington Street involving an attempted use of a counterfeit $50 bill. A missing person call involving an 81-year-old man with dementia ended safely when he returned home on his own.
Police also conducted several welfare checks, responded to 911 hang-ups and accidental dials, and investigated a report of a residence being entered, which was determined to be a family-related incident with no crime. Additional activity included traffic enforcement, business checks, and an animal complaint following a deer strike.
