Chillicothe Police Report For Tuesday and Wednesday

The Chillicothe Police Department report for Tuesday and Wednesday includes 136 calls for service.

On Tuesday, officers investigated a possible drug possession case, responded to a non-injury two-vehicle crash, and handled several calls involving harassment and civil disputes. A runaway juvenile was reported but later located safely. Officers also responded to a domestic disturbance that was determined to be verbal only. One arrest was made late Tuesday night, as a 40-year-old man was taken into custody on a probation violation warrant and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On Wednesday, officers investigated a reported burglary on Calhoun Street and made an arrest of a 30-year-old man for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Animal control handled a nuisance dog complaint, and officers addressed additional calls involving harassment, parking issues, and a reported stealing that was found to be unfounded.

Police also participated in community events, including Warrior Wednesday at the elementary school, a mock crash at Grand River Technical School, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new police department building.

Several calls for service also involved assisting the fire department, including a medical call and a fire alarm that turned out to be non-emergency.
