The Chillicothe R-II Board of Education recognized four retirees from the district. Superintendent Dr Dan Wiebers says the retirees received a plaque from the district for their service.
Sondra Sturguess (GRTS), Sally Peterson (Chillicothe Elementary),
Darren Smith (Chillicothe High), Tammy Price (Hornet Academy)
Dr. Wiebers says the board also had a special recognition of Patrick Groom.
10,000 hours of volunteer service.
Groom had provided those volunteer hours after he had retired from teaching.
Groom says he remains committed to helping shape the young minds of tomorrow’s leaders.
