Chillicothe School Bus Driver Incident and Investigation

The Chillicothe R-2 School District and Chillicothe Police Department are addressing an incident that occurred Friday involving a substitute bus driver.

 

Several students reported the driver made inappropriate and threatening statements to passengers. Upon receiving these reports, the school district contacted law enforcement and removed the driver from duty. The bus driver has been placed on administrative leave pending an full investigation. The individual is being questioned by the Chillicothe Police Department and School Resource Officer. The Chillicothe R-2 School District and Chillicothe Police Department stated, “the safety of our student is our highest priority.”

 

They are taking these allegations extremely seriously and are cooperating fully with law enforcement. They are interviewing students who were on the bus and reviewing all available evidence. They want to assure parents that appropriate action will be taken based on the findings of their investigation.
