The Work Release program with the Missouri Department of Corrections was extended under an agreement with the City of Chillicothe. City Administrator Roze Frampton explained that this is a program that has been in place for some time.
Helps financially and with getting jobs done.
The Department of Corrections does make sure city employees are prepared to work with the offenders.
DOC provides training for city employees.
The council approved the renewal of the agreement with the prison.
