The Route D bridge in Caldwell County is now open according to the Missouri Department of Transportation. The bridge over Shoal Creek had been closed following a routine inspection in June of 2024, due to advanced deterioration. The bridge was 70-years-old at the time.
The replacement work began in March of 2025, with completion delayed several times due to weather and contractor schedule changes.
