Officers investigated two thefts, including a case in which a business employee was arrested after about $1,000 was reported stolen. Police are also investigating a $2,500 online scam involving the attempted purchase of a Maine Coon cat. Other incidents included a motorcycle crash with injuries on Highway 36, a warrant arrest, and a driver arrested for driving with a suspended license.
Saturday,
EMS and officers attempted life-saving measures for an unresponsive person, who was later determined to have died of natural causes. Police are investigating an assault in which a man reportedly threatened another with a knife, along with the theft of property from a scooter. Officers also arrested a driver on an active warrant during a traffic stop, and later responded to a family disturbance that had ended before officers arrived.

Officers investigated a crash involving a reportedly stolen vehicle, locating and detaining a juvenile suspected of driving before releasing the juvenile to a parent and referring the case to juvenile authorities. Investigations also continue into a reported stolen skid steer and a shoplifting incident at a local business. Officers also made a warrant arrest while responding to a property damage complaint.
