City Seeks To Fill Chillicothe City Council Opening

Following the resignation of Second Ward Councilman Weston Baker, the City of Chillicothe is seeking to fill the vacancy for the Second Ward Council member position. Mayor Theresa Kelly is accepting letters of interest from qualified residents of the Second Ward who wish to be considered for appointment to the City Council.

This appointment will fill an unexpired term and will remain in effect until April 2027. The position is an elected office, with municipal elections held every two years for all city officials.

To be eligible, candidates must have been residents of the City of Chillicothe for at least one year prior to the election, live in the 2nd Ward, and must be registered voters before the applicable registration deadline.  Letters of interest must be received at Chillicothe City Hall by 4:00 pm on May 5th.
