Chillicothe Municipal Utilities approved the purchase of the “Orange Bags” for the refuse department. CMU General Manager Matt Hopper says they purchased the bags needed for an entire year.
From the same vendor at a similar price.
Hopper says the price you pay in the store will not change.
No increase in the cost of the bags in 30 years.
Residential customers can reduce the use of the orange bags by sorting out the recyclables from the trash and placing them in a tub or box for pick-up with your regular trash. Check the CMU web page for the recycling guidelines.
