The Livingston County Commission is close to completing the 2025 County Budget. Presiding Commissioner Ed Douglas says they have had some challenges this year. He says this includes a number of unplanned expenses.
Jail costs, 911, and building repairs.
Douglas says they will work towards a cost of living increase for employees to stay competitive.
Douglas says they have met with all of the department heads and will be ready for the first of two public hearings on January 16th.
