Council Approves Mystic Heights Re-Plat & Rezoning

The re-plat and rezoning of Mystic Heights subdivision was approved by the Chillicothe City Council on Monday.  Mystic Heights is located between Third Street and Clay Street, on the old prison property.  Codes Officer Gil Gates presented the recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission to approve the re-plat and rezoning.  Gates says the re-plat was presented by Nathan Zabka, the new owner of the property.

Lot size increased from 2500 sq/ft to 9000 sq/ft.

Gates says as the property is developed, primary roads will be installed, with secondary roads as needed.

Can not issue permits without street, water, and sewer available.

The Council also approved the rezoning from P-1 – Public Zone to R-3 – New High Density Multi-Family Residential.   This includes single-family homes, duplexes, and tri-plexes.
