County Looking At Ways To Fund And Manage County’s 911

Livingston County officials are working with Chillicothe officials on ways to fund and manage the 911 systems.  Presiding Commissioner Ed Douglas says funding is an issue.

Costing the county $1M with funding of only about $100K.

Douglas says they are looking at separate management.

Douglas says a dedicated sales tax for 911 could be presented to the voters as early as August.   Decisions still need to be made on the amount of the tax and the management structure.
