Destruction Of Police Department Records

The destruction of records for the Chillicothe Police Department was approved by the City Council Monday.  City Administrator Roze Frampton says this is a continuation of the department’s efforts to dispose of the unneeded records.

There is less space in the new facility for unneeded records.

Frampton says the records have been reviewed to meet the legal requirements for records retention.

It all meets the state statutes.

The Department is continuing to review records held in storage.
