Fall Prevention Fair

The Hedrick Medical Center and the Livingston County Health Center will host an Aging in Place event, focused on fall prevention. The Fall Prevention Fair is on Wednesday, September 25th, from 9:00 am to noon in The Gardens at Hedrick Medical Center.  The event is free to attend, and attendees will have the opportunity to win door prizes.

 

Rehabilitation Manager at Hedrick Medical Center Luci Skaggs says “Education on fall prevention is crucial.  By understanding the risks and learning practical strategies, we can empower individuals to take control of their safety.”

 

The event will include various screenings and information booths, providing tips on avoiding falls, and health assessments that can determine whether medical interventions could help reduce the risk of falls.

  • 10:15 – 11 a.m. – Silver Sneakers Class
  • 11:10 a.m. – Nutrition Tips
  • 11:30 a.m. – Medication Overview
