Festus Man Injured Leaving Business In Chillicothe

A Festus, MO, man had serious injuries when he was struck by a vehicle in Chillicothe on Saturday afternoon.  State Troopers and Chillicothe Police investigated the crash.  Troopers report the 26-year-old Festus man was struck by a vehicle driven by a 90-year-old Chillicothe man.  The Festus man was taken to Hedrick Medical Center and later flown to Truman Medical Center for treatment.  The crash occurred at about 2:39 pm in the 1100 block of Walnut Street.

Chillicothe Police report the crash happened as the 90-year-old Chillicothe man was attempting to park in the lot of the business and hit the gas instead of the brake.  The man was struck as he was exiting the business and was pinned between the car and a washing machine.

The crash caused considerable damage to the business.
