The financing of the Chillicothe Police Department’s construction project is handled by McLiney and Company. The financing is through Certificates of Participation that are sold on the market. Joey McLiney explained the timeline for the city to secure the financing.
Finalize the offering document on Jan 6, a notice of sale to bidders on the 13th,
and a parameter ordinance presented to the council on the 16th.
This includes the total amount, interest rate, term, and other factors.
Go to market on the 27th.
Closing of the financing is planned for February 6th.
City Administrator Roze Frampton says if everything goes according to this plan, the groundbreaking could be around February 13th.
