Fire In Hale Deemed Intentional – Investigation Continues

A fire that was determined to be intentionally set was reported to the Hale Fire Protection District on Wednesday afternoon.  The fire call came in at 1:48 pm for a fire at 5 Cherry Street in Hale. The fire crew arrived in four minutes to find fire in one room. They also determined there were two points of origin.

The fire was extinguished with a water can and the crew made sure the fire had not spread.  Overhaul was completed by 2:36 pm.

The State Fire Marshal was called and investigated, determining the fire had been intentionally set.  The suspect remains at large.
