Flood Warnings Issued For the Grand River

Flood warnings are issued for the Grand River from Pattonsburg to Sumner.

Due to heavy rains across northern Missouri this morning, flooding on the Grand River at Pattonsburg is expected beginning late tonight as the river rises above flood stage of 25 feet.  A crest of 29.7 feet is expected Wednesday afternoon, with the river falling back below flood stage Friday morning.

A flood warning is issued for the Grand River at Gallatin.  Flood Stage is 26 feet.  The river is expected to crest at 29.2 feet Thursday evening.  The flood warning continues to Saturday evening.

At Chillicothe, a flood warning on the Grand River from Wednesday evening through Sunday morning as the river is expected to rise to a crest of 29.3 feet  Thursday evening.  Flood Stage at Chillicothe is 24 feet.

At Sumner, the river is expected to rise to a crest of 31.8 feet early Friday.  Flood stage is 26 feet.  The river should fall below flood stage Sunday morning.
