The first section of Mill and Fill resurfacing on US 65 through Chillicothe began Monday night. The crews began by milliing out a portion of the center lane and hauling off that material. The crews cleaned the surface of the milled section and then began the filling of the milled area to the original street level. Work is taking place from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am as weather permits.
Crews expect to fill the areas that are milled each night so the roadway can be used by traffic the following day.
Contractors started the milling at the beginning of the four-lane section of pavement at the north end of Chillicothe.
