Health Center Approves Investments And Disposal Of The Carport

The Livingston County Health Center Board of Trustees invested funds and approved the disposal of the carport as part of their meeting on Tuesday.

Health Center Director Sherry Weldon told the board they have $200,000 in their reserves that could be invested.  After the discussion, the board approved placing the funds in two CDs of $100,000 each at about 4.35% for 24 months.

Materials for the fire alarm system are arriving at the Health Center.  Installation should take place in August.

The damaged and surplus Carport disposal was considered.  With no bids to buy the carport, there was an offer to remove the carport for $800, paid by the health center.  They had received $1,700 in insurance money and chose to approve the removal.

The board was told that State funding for the Emergency Preparedness Contract was halted at the 6-month mark.

Funding was also halted for the Rapid HIV Contract.  The health center has the testing materials, but they will no longer be paid for their time when the kits are used.
