Heavy Rain, Strong Winds And Thunderstorms Across The Region

The thunderstorms that moved across portions of eastern Kansas and southeast Nebreska, as well as northwest Missouri, through the evening and overnight seemed to lose some of the intensity as it approached the local area.

Rainfall amounts in Livingston County ranged from 1-2 inches, and Grundy County with ¾ to 1 inch.

Heavier rainfall amounts were reported to our south, closer to I-70.

A tornado was radar indicated in SW Ray County and will be investigated by the National Weather Service.

The Weather Service has not received many damage reports so far, but there were reports of power lines down in the Hamilton and Breckenridge areas.
