A report of a Controlled Burn that was out of control summoned Chillicothe’s Brush Truck to 9361 US 65, north of Chillicothe, at about 1:08 pm Monday. Landowner Leo Halverson reported losing control of the burn and firefighters arrived on the scene in about 6 minutes to find a burn pile and a spot fire to the east.
Three hundred gallons of water was used to put out the spot fire and control the burn pile, which was left smoldering.
Fire crews were on the scene for about 25 minutes.
