The Property Tax Rate Hearing was part of the meeting for the Livingston County Health Center Board of Trustees. The board presented the rate of .3319 per $100 valuation. There were no comments on the tax rate. The board approved the rate for 2025.
The installation of a new fire alarm system at the Health Center could begin this week. The company has hired an electrician to handle the wiring before the equipment can be installed. That could begin on Friday.
The Health Center received three bids for concrete work that includes portions of the front sidewalk and the rear parking area.
The bid was awarded to JD Bishop. The Health Center will get a signed contract with start and end dates for the work.
There was also an extended discussion on Social Media and allowing comments on social media posts. With input from board members and involved staff, it was decided not to allow comments on Facebook posts.
