The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department reports two investigations and a dozen arrests during the first half of June.
Deputies responded to a littering complaint in Utica on June 4th, locating the suspect and requiring the individual to clean up the discarded items. On June 8th, deputies took a report of a stolen license plate tab in Wheeling. That investigation remains active.
Several arrests involved active warrants and court commitments, while others stemmed from traffic enforcement along U.S. Highway 36. Deputies cited motorists from Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Nebraska, and Kentucky for offenses including driving while revoked and speeds ranging from 92 to 99 miles per hour in 65-mile-per-hour zones.
Among those arrested, three individuals were unable to post bonds of $10,000 to $20,000 and were transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
The most serious incident occurred on June 14th in Mooresville, where deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on Main Street. A 29-year-old woman was arrested and held pending formal charges. The Sheriff’s Department says the investigation is continuing and additional charges may be filed.
