The bid for a new bridge near Blue Mound was awarded by the Livingston County Commission. Presiding Commissioner Ed Douglas says the bid was awarded to Widell and Company, with a bid of $339,000. Douglas says that the contractor has two bridges to handle.
They have until June, but could be done in November.
Douglas says the county has replaced 22 of the worst bridges in the last six years.
Made great strides on getting bridges taken care of.
He says the commission is very happy with the progress they have made on the bridges.
