The Livingston County Soil and Water Conservation District election is taking place now, through February 20th, for Territories 2 and 4.
Territory 2 includes Mooresville, Green, Monroe, and Blue Mound Townships.
The only candidate on the ballot is Todd Jones.
Territory 4 includes Medicine, Rich Hill, and Wheeling Townships.
There are no candidates for Territory 4.
Those eligible to vote must live in the territory or represent the farm. Be of legal voting age and have an interest in a farm or ranch as either an individual, or the authorized representative of an entity.
Voting is taking place at the USDA office in Chillicothe. If you have questions of your eligibility to vote or where to cast your ballot, you can contact the office at 660-646-6220, extension 3.
The deadline to vote is February 20th.
