Marceline Man Has Serious Injuries In Single Vehicle Crash

A Marceline man had serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash Monday evening.  State Troopers report the 45-year-old man was eastbound on Route E, south of Marceline, when he swerved to miss a deer and ran off the right side of the road, and his pick-up struck the ground.  The driver was taken to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.  He was wearing a safety belt.
