A Cowgill man booked into the Caldwell County Detention Center on charges of alleged rape, child molestation, sodomy, and endangering the welfare of a child, between June of 2025 and January 1st of this year, remains in custody. Forty-five-year-old Shane Franklin McBee made a court appearance before Judge Jason Kanoy to consider setting bond. The judge found by clear and convincing evidence that the defendant poses a danger to victim. McBee remains in custody at the Caldwell County Detention Center with no bond allowed.
