Milan Woman Injured when Vehicle Overturns

A Milan woman suffered moderate injuries early Saturday morning when her car overturned after she swerved to avoid a deer on Highway 5 in Linn County.

 

Victoria Fitzpatrick, age 21, was traveling northbound on Highway 5 two miles north of Linneus when she swerved to avoid the deer in the roadway and her vehicle veered off the shoulder and overturned. Linn County Sheriff’s Department, Linn County Ambulance District and the Linneus Fire Department responded, and Fitzpatrick was evacuated by air to University Hospital. She was wearing a seatbelt.
